Curling

Play the sport of Curling with an Oculus Quest. After you slide across the ice to release the stone, hand your friend a touch controller and get them to "SWEEP!".

Multiplayer is local only. Multiplayer is done by handing off a single Quest device to other players.

Follows the USCA rules of curling http://www.curlmesabi.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/USCA_rules_of_curling.pdf

Delivery

Stone delivery requires using both controllers.

Left Controller creates inertia - hold the left hand trigger while head-banging towards the broom placed at the goal. The trigger should be released when your head is moving its fastest.

Right controller curls - The stone can be gripped and held at any time with the right hand trigger. It should be twisted to add curl. The stone should be released before the hogline. If it is not, a release is forced.

Sweeping

A soon as the stone passes the hogline the person in the headset teleports to the endzone, informing the others when to sweep. Sweeping gives the stone additional forward momentum. Do just enough sweeping to help the stone reach a target.

A single person can not both deliver and sweep the stone. Sweeping is enabled after the stone passes the hogline and the controllers are at least 2 meters away. Right after the stone is released both controllers should be handed off to one or 2 people for sweeping a delivery. To Sweep an analog stick needs to be quickly moved back and forth between opposite sides as quickly as possible.
